Makeovers, transformations, metamorphoses; call them what you like, they are timeless. In the "Wizard of Oz," the characters all underwent makeovers before they were allowed to see the Wizard. The wizard empowered the characters by giving them each a symbolic representation of what they hoped to become. The characters needed the external reinforcement to believe in themselves. Everybody likes makeovers. Why else would major magazines like InStyle and Oprah publish annual makeover issues? These magazines, as well as a number of television shows, capitalize on our fascination with the before and after images of both celebrities and real people.
Women just want to get dressed. Today the average American woman wears a size 14 or larger, yet the messages received from the media show mostly younger women who are always thin and very attractive. This dampens enthusiasm for squeezing into the latest runway fashions. Women want to feel pretty and look good in their clothes. But often, the outcry is "I can't find it. It doesn't fit. I CAN'T WEAR THAT!"

"It's simply a matter of taking the time to think about your personal style," says former Hollywood stylist Linda Arroz, co-author with Jemi Armstrong of "Affordable Couture." 1. Beat the Fat Fight
Do you feel fat, and if so, do you act fat? The way to beat the fat fight doesn't start with your weight. You don't have to say a word to broadcast low self-esteem. Negative body language provides plenty of information. Pay attention to how you move. Do you sit down or do you plop? When you stand up, do you automatically start adjusting your clothing? Observe your actions. Are you always struggling with a slipping bra strap, pulling your pants up, or tugging at your top? If so, stop. These actions insinuate discomfort with yourself and ill-fitting clothing.

2. Stand Up Straight: Posture - The Pep Talk. This is an essential step to looking thinner and taller. Good posture can eliminate and prevent body discomfort and pain. Anyone who is or has been overweight, or is full-busted, has a tendency to slump forward. Spending hours sitting in front of a computer and long commutes are a recipe for poor posture. Becoming aware of your posture is the first step in becoming aware of your body. Lifting the shoulder blades up, back and down, lifts your rib cage and opens up your torso, creating a bit of length, which can insinuate a waist and make you look a bit thinner.

3. Your Closet: The Emotional Land Mine
If a picture speaks a thousand words, then your cluttered closet spells encyclopedias about your emotional well being. Clothing can trigger emotional responses like guilt, which slows you down and holds you back. Should Christian People Mourn the Death of A Man Who Promoted Hate

Newsmen hovered and ran to cover the newest breaking story. They were eager to proclaim the death of a powerful man of the Religious Right who had passed away from a massive heart attack. It was the media's duty to cover the story whether they liked this man or not. They interviewed as many high ranking officials they could find to eulogize the memory and power of a popular religious man of the world.

A man, who over the years was able to out officials from public office just by speaking a word against their policies. A man, who had so much power that whether Christians every where believed in his causes or not they felt compelled to vote according to his convictions.

Great and powerful leaders of the Religious Right could hardly wait to be mentioned on national news and newspapers their grief for the founder of the Moral Majority party of the Religious right. A man that preached against women's rights, abortion, and the gay lifestyle. A man who broke up families, denied women justice and persecuted people for being born homosexual.

The Spirit of God descended into my heart changing me and speaking words of light. I was a high standing woman of Religious Moral convictions in the Southern Baptist Church. I dedicated my life to Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord in church and service. I prayed constantly seeking and pleading that God's will would be done in my life and in Christians lives throughout the world.

God in His infinite wisdom saw me and because He loved me so much He made me gay in a world where homophobia reigned. In His mercy these words sprang to life on my typewriter, words I had not written. "My Ways Are Not Human Ways, Trust In Me! God Has Spoken." Up until this time I had never experienced anything supernatural before.

Up until this very moment I had believed what I was taught and I obeyed the words of people who had been educated in the greatest school's of theology and doctrine. I surrendered my belief system to their knowledge never questioning their authority, because they had the degrees to prove they were in the know until God pitted me against their teaching and made me stand on my own.

My church, family, and my community deserted me. None wanted me as part of their lives for fear that approving of me would make them despised by their friends. I was jailed, I was spied upon and deprived of justice in the courts. Anything men wanted to do to me was given permission to them through the teaching of the Moral Majority Leader who had gained the approval of millions to vote against people of my kind.

God spoke to me in a real way because of what I was about to suffer for being what God created me to be in a lost and fallen world. A world where Satan is god. A world where politicians and religious leaders have been given the power to deceive people by how they interpret the Bible.

A world where love is despised. A world game that reveals the differences between love and hate. A life game that opens the dark ways of this world and brings to light why people suffer injustices in an evil and corrupt world.

Romans 13: 8-10, "Be under obligation to no one-the only obligation you have is to love one another. Whoever does this has obeyed the Law. The commandments, 'Do not commit adultery; do not commit murder; do not steal; do not desire what belongs to someone else; -all these, and any others besides, are summed up in the one command, 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.' If you love someone, you will never do him wrong; to love, then, is to obey the whole Law."

These scriptures and many other verses tell us over and over again Jesus' way for people. It is not about persecution of gays and women who are fighting to have the same rights as men. It has everything to do with proving to people that the things we suffer here on earth is not about punishment, but rather about people who have traveled to the dark side of life and chose hate over love.

Jesus came to set people free from the controlling evil teachings of Pharisees and the teachers of the Law by sending the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. A Spirit that teaches people the truth about God. This had to happen because when you are in an evil world the only way you can find truth is on an individual basis led by the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8: 1&2, "There is no condemnation now for those who live in union with Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit, which brings us life in union with Christ Jesus, has set me free from the law of sin and death."

When we believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, He makes us aware of the game of life that pits all Christians against the evil workings of the world. He opens our eyes to the wrong teachings of those who use the Bible to control people. For instance, teachers whose only goal in life is to become rich and famous by telling people it is okay to hate.

2 Peter 2: 1-3a, "False prophets appeared in the past among the people, and in the same way false teachers will appear among you. They will bring in destructive, untrue doctrines, and will deny the Master who redeemed them, and so they will bring upon themselves sudden destruction. Even so, many will follow their immoral ways; and because of what they do, others will speak evil of the Way of truth. In their greed these false teachers will make a profit out of telling you made-up stories."

People who take the Bible to use it as a weapon to preach hate are not on God's side. As a result God is condemned and blamed for evil that has been orchestrated by Satan and his evil followers who use fame as a way to elevate themselves.

When Jesus walked on the earth most of His teachings were directed at the Religious Right. He was constantly exposing their motives and pointing out their desires for riches and fame.

Mark 7:6-8, "Jesus answered them, 'How right Isaiah was when he prophesied about you! You are hypocrites, just as he wrote; "These people, says God, honor me with their words, but their heart is really far away form me. It is no use for them to worship me, because they teach man-made rules as though they were my laws!"
'You put aside God's command and obey the teachings of men.'"

Peter, Paul and the rest of the apostles preached against men who would come proclaiming in the name of Jesus Christ anything that would make them look superior. Even though many of the things they proclaim as sin is documented in the Bible, they leave out every scripture that justifies the acceptance of all people from all lifestyles.

I have been shocked over the pass week of how many politicians to high religious leaders have mourned over the death of a man that literally tore up families and set our United States society into the dark ages. His moral teachings were wrong and unbiblical according to the freedom all people have been given once they proclaim their faith in Jesus as their Savior.

God chose a gay woman to know His will about homosexuality. He taught me the principles behind the game of life and why our world is not about religion versus laws. We are in a game of good versus evil. The only way to understand the difference between those who follow God instead of Satan is by how they reflect love in their lives.

Jesus was constantly confronted by the teachers of the law because He stated the simple truth of love superseding the Laws of Moses. Jesus stated that if we follow God we will be persecuted by those who use the bible to control people. Being such an old girl I have gained valuable knowledge, some fleas, a couple of booboos, and lots of love. Let me share with you some of the more important stuff.

First and foremost - FOOD! I love to eat and my two legged assistant always has food in my dish and fresh water for me. You may think that as long as it smells good and tastes good, it's good for you. Nope! My personal assistant knows about nutrition and tells me that my food makes me play better and look more beautiful. Those are two very important qualities for any puppy. You could always fit in a pizza crust or dropped burger when the occasion presents itself but I recommend you eat the food in your dish first.

If you give a sad look to your two legged assistant or hold your front foot up you might get an extra treat when she has the bag out. I also do a couple of easy tricks to extend the session, roll over and speak are very easy to master. You can learn various methods from your assistant or the other neighborhood dogs.

The big brown and white dog up the street told me he wasn't allowed to eat a full dinner anymore and only got half of his treats till he lost something, something the guy in the white coat and his two legged assistant were concerned about. They made him eat stuff that was called a lose weight drug, yuck! He isn't much fun to play with anyway... runs too slow and his tail smells funny.

Sometimes I would get into something my two legged assistant didn't like, the neighbor's garbage can for example, and it would make me feel all yucky inside and my tail area smelled funny. She gave me some pet medications, and when she wasn't angry with me anymore, I always felt better. Especially since she cleverly hid the pet medications in a chunk of lunch meat or slice of cheese. Note to the uninformed, don't drink the cool water out of the white chair because your two legged assistant will not like it, no matter how good you think it is! If you step in your dish and spill it all out by accident or drink it all up, just pick the dish up in your mouth & take it to your personal two legged assistant for a quick refill. Smaller dogs can look at the dish a lot and walk to it repeatedly to signal it's empty. Brief Asian Semi-longhair Cat History

The breed is said to have originated during the 1980s as a result of cross breeding Burmese and Chinchilla cats. The origins may go back even further and may include Persians and Angora breeds. The Asian Semi-longhair cat was developed in Great Britain and is very similar to the generic term of Asian Shorthairs which are all Burmese type cats.

The ancestor of all domestic cats is the African Wildcat, the genus Felis Lybica. This genus is comprised of smaller cats. Cats are thought to have been domesticated with the advent of farming and the storage of grain. The grain attracted rats and other vermin which naturally attracted wild cats.
